Your hosts, Mark and Anita, like to welcome both new and regular customers, boaters and walkers to their traditional public house and restaurant. We are situated at Bridge No. 2 alongside the historic Macclesfield canal in Marple.
Mark and Anita Singleton have fulfilled a long-standing ambition to run the Ring O’ Bells, taking over the tenancy in 2010. Previously they ran the Hatters Arms, also in Marple, for ten years and the Square and Compass in Derbyshire from 1990 to 2000.
Mark’s farther, Ron, was the licensee of the Navigation Hotel in Marple from 1966 to 1991. Altogether, the Singleton family have been Robinsons’ tenants for over 45 years.
The Ring O’ Bells is conveniently located for all local amenities, including road and rail links to Manchester, and ideally placed for access to the Peak National Park and stunning surrounding local countryside.
Relax on our spacious canal-side patio, while listening to traditional summer brass band concerts, or join in with weekly pub quizzes, Rock ‘n’ Roll bingo and other indoor light entertainment.
Whatever your preference, you’ll enjoy your visit to the Ring O’ Bells in Marple. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
